University of Austin
UATX Bastrop Engineering Lab
Set to open April 2026, The University of Austin (UATX) is building an engineering lab in Bastrop County, expanding its campus east of Austin. Situated adjacent to The Boring Company's headquarters along FM 1209, this facility is part of the expanding Musk-affiliated ecosystem that includes SpaceX and Starlink facilities.
This facility strengthens ties between UATX's engineering initiatives and cutting-edge tech/industry partners in the area, positioning Bastrop County as a hub for applied innovation and advanced manufacturing education.
