Join the Private Sector Initiative Driving Bastrop County's Future
Bastrop County Economic Development Partners (BCEDP) is a collaborative public-private partnership uniting Bastrop County with the Cities of Bastrop, Elgin, and Smithville to accelerate sustainable economic growth, business attraction, retention, and expansion. While public funding from our institutional members lays the foundation, private sector investment is essential to fuel our most ambitious initiatives—providing the flexibility and speed needed to compete aggressively in Central Texas.
Through our dedicated private sector initiative (to be formally named), companies aligned with Bastrop County's vision can underwrite and launch BCEDP operations, bridge funding gaps during formation, and support high-impact activities that public dollars may not cover. Your investment helps:
Launch and sustain BCEDP's countywide efforts, including salaries, operations, and strategic projects while public funds are secured.
Attract and retain top talent by enabling competitive tools like prospecting trips to domestic and international employers.
Fund targeted recruitment delegations, site readiness enhancements, and special economic development projects (e.g., in priority sectors like advanced manufacturing, logistics, data centers, and film studios).
Build a growing pool of private resources through an annual campaign, with flexible commitments
